You should try the Fox and Anchor over by Smithfields. Match it up with a Black Velvet. Interesting experience tho I could feel my arteries hardening as I ate.
I am a little disappointed not to see a Little Chef in the list. Probably not the kind of establishment the Londonista set are partial to but in the breakfast arena these paeans to am eating cannot be bettered. Hope someone can help out. All my Little Chef eating has been ex-capital so can't comment but will let you know as soon as I get to one that qualifies - though it may be some time as it means buying a car. Again.

The Pavillion Cafe - in Victoria park, Hackney. Fantastic breakfast - home made baked beans, juicy organic field mushrooms, meaty, flavoursome sausages. Friendly, keen to please staff, beautiful setting right by the fountain/pond. The best Flat Whites featuring the exquisite Square Mile coffee - what a find. This place is a gem.
